One of the main reasons many students join the UPS programme at APST is as a stepping stone to higher education at university. We have had many and continue to support students every year into university.

The following are common progression routes for UPS students.

LLB (Hons) in Law

BA (Hons) in Criminology

BSc (Hons) in Fire & Leadership Studies

BA (Hons) in Social Work

BA (Hons) in Sociology

BA (Hons) in Public Services

BA (Hons) in Policing

BSc (Hons) Criminal Investigation

And have studied at a range of best universities in the UK.

We engage with many local universities for you to explore the range of course opportunities they offer related to your UPS programme.

At the end of Year 12 you will receive an initial UCAS briefing.

On returning in Year 13, you will start your university application, where you will attend open days with both APST and individually with a family to make sure you make the best five choices.

Once you have submitted your application (generally in late January) and received offers. APST staff and staff in our partner schools will support you with student finance and accommodation support so that when you complete APST your progression to university is ready to go.
