I am an education leader, lecturer, and researcher specialising in post-16 education, widening participation, and progression into higher education and public service careers. I am the Company Director of APST Education and Training and the Academy Director for the Uniformed Protective Services Academy, where I design and deliver bespoke curricula aligned to national qualifications, employability frameworks, and protective and public service pathways. My work at APST spans curriculum design, staff development, quality assurance, and partnership working with schools, police, and external agencies across the North West.

Alongside my professional practice, I am completing a Doctor of Education (EdD) at the University of Chester, researching the transition experiences of first-generation male students moving from school into higher education in the UK. I hold an MSc in Psychology, a Certificate of Education, and a BA (Hons) in Sports Coaching. I have previously worked as a further and higher education lecturer, programme leader, and student advisor, supporting learners with academic, behavioural, and wellbeing needs.

Earlier in my career, I served in the British Army as a Combat Medical Technician and Physical Training Instructor, including operational deployments to Iraq. I recently contributed to defence and leadership education through voluntary service as a member of the Independent Advisory Panel at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Across my work, I am driven by a commitment to educational equity and social justice, with a particular focus on supporting working-class and first-generation young people to access, navigate, and succeed in education and employment.
